[UKPRwire, Mon May 01 2006] As part of their ongoing collaboration with WaterAction – The Extreme Watersports Scene on Show 2007, Mobas has just launched KiteAction, an online extreme watersports game.
Mobas, the integrated communications agency, was appointed by WaterAction, the brainchild of former Foodex Meatex MD Steve Bax, as the lead agency for his company BaxInteraction back in 2005. Since then, Mobas has worked closely with BaxInteraction to develop firstly the WaterAction brand, and secondly the website and online community portal. To kick off the marketing in the lead-up to the first show next March, Mobas has also been developing a Flash-animated online game, which is featured on the WaterAction website. The game has also secured the support of Flexifoil, a key player in the extreme watersports arena, as well as many other large companies and brands now on board for the show next year.
Launched this month, KiteAction is the first in a series of online games that will be launched in the next year, and it has already sky-rocketed in popularity, with hundreds of hits being recorded in just the second day of launch generated purely on a viral basis. Commenting on the launch of the game, Steve Bax, MD of WaterAction says “We’re thrilled at the early success of KiteAction, and hope the series of games prove to be a valuable marketing tool in the lead-up to WaterAction next year”.
KiteAction can be viewed by accessing the WaterAction homepage www.wateraction.co.uk. WaterAction is a new exhibition and will be at London’s ExCeL Arena from March 9th-11th next year. For further information please contact Nic Mitham via email (nic.mitham@mobas.com) or telephone (01763 261385).
