[UKPRwire, Thu Nov 22 2007] As the nights draw in and the weather starts to get colder, many people feel like hibernating instead of exercising. Some folk tend to eat more at this time of year because they are bored and less active and there’s very few who can admit that they don’t over indulge in food and/or drink especially over the festive season.
Regular exercise is an essential part of any healthy lifestyle, whatever the season. And just because winter is almost upon us, there is no excuse for not keeping active and feeling the benefits gained from this.
Wyboston Lakes Golf Centre has come up with two special offers to encourage you to play golf over the winter months.
The first offer allows players that tee off between 8 am and 12 noon on a Monday or Tuesday to play for £12.50. On Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays twilight rates apply all day and on Saturday and Sundays golfers can enjoy 18 holes for the price of 9.
Those golfers that want to play more regularly at Wyboston Lakes can take advantage of the second promotion which offers extended season tickets that are valid until 31st March 2009. This means that those purchasing new season tickets from 1st December 2007 will get 16 months for the price of 12!
Dave Little, Golf Centre Manager at Wyboston Lakes, said, “Golf throughout the winter months can be very challenging and a lot of fun. Allowing extended play for a 9 hole payment attracts golfers who wish to have the flexibility to carry on playing regardless of the cold weather and reduced daylight hours.”
Dave continued, “Including this year’s winter period within the 2008/9 season ticket represents excellent value to new season ticket holders, effectively providing four months of golf free-of-charge.”
