3M Digital Signage Announces Reseller Training Workshops
3M has announced a series of training workshops for existing and potential UK or Ireland resellers at the 3M Centre in Bracknell, Berkshire
[UKPRwire, Tue Aug 21 2007] Following overwhelming interest in its digital signage technologies at recent tradeshows, 3M has announced a series of training workshops for existing and potential UK or Ireland resellers at the 3M Centre in Bracknell, Berkshire. The one-day events are aimed at resellers seeking a more in-depth understanding about Vikuiti Rear Projection Displays and 3M Digital Signage software to enable successful sales promotion and specification of the products to their customers.
The next reseller training workshop will be on 10th September, although this date is already fully booked. Further dates have now been announced on 21st September and 7th November 2007.
The first workshop, held on 8th August, was heralded a great success with very positive feedback from participants. One attendee, Mick Perrone, Sales Manager with Paradigm AV, specialists in rear projection dynamic display solutions, commented: “It was a very well organised and professional event. I knew a fair bit about Vikuiti Rear Projection Displays already but the workshop helped me learn how to get more out of the film. The training was pitched at the right level and was broad enough for all attendees to understand. The hands-on element of the day was also very useful. I’d recommend that anyone interested in dynamic displays and reselling Vikuiti film should go along”.
Simon Russell, Director of WindowGain, a specialist provider of large format display solutions, commented: “We felt the training gave us the information we require to actively promote 3M's Vikuiti Rear Projection Displays and digital signage software to our target audiences with confidence. Although we already possess a reasonable amount of in-house expertise in the area, we learned a lot on the day.”
The training included:
• Extensive technical training on Vikuiti Rear Projection Displays
• A presentation of case studies from some of the 21 countries where Vikuiti Rear Projection Display technology has been installed
• An overview of 3M Digital Signage software, including detailed explanation of 3M Network Edition content management software and 3M Network Operations Manager software for remote network infrastructure monitoring and maintenance
• An introduction to interactive window technology, using ViP Interactive Foils from Visual Planet combined with 3M Vikuiti Rear Projection film
“These workshops are ideal for any organisation wanting to understand 3M’s software and rear projection technologies in greater depth. They are intended to enable potential new channel partners determine if they do want to become a reseller for the 3M digital signage products, and they also act as training for new employees at existing 3M Digital Signage resellers,” said Simon Birkenhead, Sales & Marketing Manager, 3M Digital Signage & Optical Systems.
He continued, “In the year since it was launched, Vikuiti Rear Projection has generated an enormous amount of interest as a break-through technology for large format in-window digital display screens. It has been used by retailers and organisations across 21 countries, including many customers in the UK. Powered by 3M Digital Signage software, these displays can be installed anywhere in the world, show any dynamic content and be controlled from your desktop. Our workshops present a great opportunity to get involved in the digital signage revolution.”
