[UKPRwire, Mon Oct 01 2007] 3M Optical Systems, a division of diversified technology company 3M, has been honoured as a winner in this year’s Installation Europe (IE) Awards, which celebrate excellence in audio, video and lighting installation projects, and in the products used by installers. Vikuti Rear Projection Film from 3M was voted ‘Best projection product’ during the PLASA07 show, held 9-12 September at Earls Court, London.
An expert panel of judges, drawn from the design, manufacturing and installation communities, selected Vikuiti Rear Projection Film over the two other shortlisted nominations for its innovative design, high image quality and unique ability to inspire creativity and capture audience attention in a diverse range of application environments. Installation Europe has been running these awards since 2004. The product categories were introduced this year to acknowledge the growing importance of feedback from installers in the product development cycle. To be considered for an award, a project or product must have featured in the pages of Installation Europe magazine from January 2007 onwards.
