David will be supporting DEM’s 6 regional distributors and direct sales channels and will be based in Singapore.
Currently DEM services over 20 international organisations in the Asia Pacific region with its market leading EDEM software. EDEM is an advanced simulation and analysis tool that predicts the flow of particulates in complex manufacturing processes. The information EDEM generates enables engineers to investigate the effect of product characteristics and operating conditions without the need to build costly prototypes.

David Byrne has worked in the Asia Pacific region for over 18 years and has extensive experience in the computer aided engineering sector – in particular the use of CAD, CAE and CFD software in the aerospace, electronics and mechanical engineering industries. For the last five years he was Regional Director for Blue Ridge Numerics, the fastest growing CFD (computational fluid dynamics) software company in the world, and responsible for the company’s rapid expansion in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to that, he had 13 years of experience working in the Pacific Rim region on engineering related projects with clients in Taiwan, China, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Australia and Japan.
