[UKPRwire, Tue Jul 10 2007] TDC has added a new lower cost, compact version to its range of EnOcean wireless, battery-free rocker switches offering convenient switching of lights and other appliances in business and domestic applications. EnOcean switches harvest enough energy from the surrounding environment to power the wireless link, eliminating the need for a battery.
TDC’s new EnOcean PTM WL-01 series are lower cost, compact, one-piece units that can be readily mounted on a wall or any other surface using tape or a screw fixing. The new switches are available in single and double gang versions, in white only and either with a plain rocker, or with arrows. The switches are fully compatible with the standard EnOcean RCM 250 receiver. The new switches are 64 x 64 mm in area and 13 mm deep.
To encourage adoption of these switches, TDC has introduced Trial Pack 4, including a white PTM WL-01single rocker switch and the RCM 250 at just £55.00. The pack, and the switches are offered on www.EnOceanShop.co.uk.
Available in single and two-gang form, the family complements the existing PTM 250 series. These switches are available in a choice of white, anthracite, or aluminium finishes, with one or two rocker switches. The switches are available with either 'I' and 'O', up and down arrows to mark the direction of the switch, or with no legend at all. PTM 250 switches snap fit into a supplied mounting plate. The plate features fixing centres dimensionally compatible with standard UK electrical pattress boxes, to simplify retro-fitting a standard wall-mounted switch. TDC offer a compatible white bezel for these switches, although industry-standard bezels can also be used with these switches.
