Trident has today introduced a new line of commercial large screen LCD displays from NEC for public environments including shopping centres, airports and exhibitions
[UKPRwire, Tue Jul 17 2007] Trident has today introduced a new line of commercial large screen LCD displays from NEC. The new 20 series includes the 40 inch LCD4020 and 46 inch LCD4620 screen sizes, which feature new levels of flexibility and expandability. The 20 series is ideal for large public displays and offers a superior screen performance for viewing images, HD TV, video or presentations in public environments including shopping centres, airports and exhibitions.
The LCD4020 and LCD4620, available from Trident, are designed to offer public venues a cost effective and easy to maintain solution to providing high quality viewing experiences. This new large screen LCD series features a 1366 x 768 resolution with a 1200:1 contrast ratio, 8m/s response time and digital and analogue inputs. The new ultra thin bezel, almost five times thinner than some competitor models make these new monitors perfect for tile matrix or video wall applications. The thin frame design minimises image interruption, creating a more versatile display solution.
These new models also include an expansion slot for an optional HDTV tuner or future technology components. This future-proofing flexibility allows the display to adapt to emerging technologies, such as IPTV, or for the insertion of small form factor media players or additional input configurations.
A timer function (scheduler), which can switch the unit on and off automatically at pre-set times for venues where continuous operation is not a requirement minimises power consumption and overall Total Cost of Ownership. Up to seven different time programmes can be set, saving energy and increasing product lifetime.
Set-up and maintenance is easily co-ordinated via a local computer or network using the NEC NaViSet Administrator software.
The CableComp function developed by NEC Display Solutions provides versatility of the cable length allowing the data source to be up to 100 metres away enabling drive equipment to be located in a more convenient and secure location.
The NEC 20 series has an innovative overheating protection system which works even in extreme heat. It also has an improved energy efficiency, reducing overall operating costs and an enhanced AccuColour 6-way colour control for improved colour matching.
The NEC large format public displays are supplied with a 3 year warranty and are also available in 32 inch and 57 inch sizes.
