devolo Launches dLAN 200 AVplus with Integrated Power Socket and Mains Filter
Latest HomePlug adaptor from devolo provides an additional power outlet and reduces electricity consumption by 60%
[UKPRwire, Thu Nov 12 2009] Powerline networking specialist devolo has launched the dLAN 200 AVplus, a home networking adaptor featuring an integrated electrical socket to provide high-speed network access without losing a power outlet.
With data speeds of up to 200 Mbit/s, the dLAN 200 AVplus also features a mains filter to minimise interference from any connected devices and optimise networking speeds.
The adaptor’s automatic data prioritisation provides a stable network, making it an ideal way to stream digital content and bandwidth-intensive applications such as IPTV around the home.
In addition, the adaptor’s powersave mode saves up to 60% in power usage when not active, helping to lower household energy consumption and reduce emissions.
A key advantage of the dLAN 200 AVplus is that it is truly plug-and-play - simple to install and easy to use. Once the devices are plugged in, the adaptors detect each other over the electrical wiring and immediately establish a connection meaning no manual configuration is necessary.
Peter Huddleston, UK operations manager at devolo, said: “The dLAN 200 AVplus means home networkers don’t have to lose the use of a power socket, while still accessing high-speed wireless networking around the home.
“The adaptor features 128-bit AES encryption which is activated without software at the touch of a button on the adapter and features a standby mode which automatically reduces power consumption by 60 percent – to help lower electricity usage and support a greener approach to IT.”
The dLAN 200 AVplus is the latest addition to devolo’s range of dLAN networking products. The dLAN 200 AVplus Starter Kit is retailing at RRP £119.99 inc VAT, or individually at RRP £64.99 inc VAT.
