118 Group Holdings plc prepares for growth with Tasty Mobile
Daniel Corby, founder and CEO of 118 Group Holdings plc announces further growth with additional call centre in Essex
[UKPRwire, Mon Oct 02 2006] Tasty Mobile, the new branded mobile phone venture of 118 Group, the Chelmsford based b2b services business is preparing to open a dedicated call centre for Tasty Mobile in Chelmsford.
Daniel Corby, founder and CEO of 118 Group Holdings plc said “we have just completed a new 8,000 square foot facility for 118trades and 118telecoms and have now found a new site of 17,500 square feet which can be developed for the group with a planned opening date of 01 December. This new site could create upto 500 new jobs for the 118 Group and will include a dedicated centre for Tasty Mobile and additional space for 118 trades.
Tasty Mobile will be connecting people to all 6 of the major UK mobile networks and will sell primarily to the UK business market, where the mobile phone chains and networks are not particularly strong. The backbone of 118 Group has always been 118 trades, the UK’s leading directory service of tradespeople and businesses with checkable references, the extension of our offerings to include mobile was a natural progression for us. We plan to employ around 1,000 people within the next 15 months across all of the brands of 118 Group”

118 Group Holdings plc launches Tasty Mobile as a brand on 6th November 2006 from call centres in Chelmsford and has planned a launch from the Asian offices for January 2007. Agreements with all the mobile networks have been reached. The brand will be promoted in National media and is expected to operate through inbound and outbound call centres.
118 Group Holdings plc have successfully completed a pre IPO fund raising exercise and plans an AIM float which could happen as early as 2007 / 2008.
The board now includes Richard Allan, the former CEO of Perry Group plc, Hugh Craen, the founder and former MD of Potential Finance Group plc alongside Daniel Corby as CEO and Bradley Chapman as Commercial Director and Jaynie Vincent as Group HR Director.
