118 Group Holdings plc signs distribution agreement with TTNC
Daniel Corby, CEO 118 Group Holdings plc announces a major distribution agreement for 118telecoms, the telecom offshoot of 118 group
[UKPRwire, Mon Oct 16 2006] 118trades, the internet directory service is preparing for full scale national roll out as parent company, 118 Group Holdings plc opens a new state of the art call centre in Chelmsford
Speaking about the plans, Daniel Corby, CEO said “118trades has seen incredible growth since summer 2005 and is now planning to offer full UK coverage by early 2007. The new call centre at Chelmer Village, Chelmsford will allow us to recruit upto 350 new staff, the majority of which will work on the 118trades business. The balance will be in group customer services and tastymobiles, our new telecom off shoot. 118 Group Holdings plc expects to become one of Chelmsford’s largest employers within the next 18 months as another centre also opens, which could create another 700 jobs, subject to planning. The business also has interests in Advertising, Directories, Media, Mobile, Publishing and Telecoms”

118 Group Holdings plc has completed a successful pre IPO fund raising exercise ahead of a planned AIM float in 2007 / 2008. Recent high profile board appointments have included Richard Allan as Chairman and Hugh Craen as Director. Richard Allan was former CEO of Perry Group plc and Hugh Craen was former MD of Potential Finance Group plc.
118 Group Holdings plc was founded in 2005 by Daniel Corby, previously sales director at mobile chain, Phones4u. Commercial Director Bradley Chapman sits on the main board and joined the group in June 2005.
Daniel Corby has recently announced plans to return to mobile, with the group entering the UK mobile market with a brand called tastymobile, which will connect to all UK networks. The mobile business launches on 6th November.
