[UKPRwire, Wed Sep 27 2006] Daniel Corby, founder and CEO of 118 Group Holdings plc is building a new subsidiary, tastymobiles.com to challenge dial-a-phone, the consumer connector in the mobile phone market place.
Speaking about the imminent launch of tasty mobile, the new brand by 118 Group Holdings plc, Daniel Corby said “Tasty Mobile is preparing for a UK launch in November 2006 in time for the key selling season of the mobile industry. The ‘tasty mobile’ brand will connect for Vodafone, Orange, o2, T Mobile, ‘3’ and Virgin Mobile. The brand will also appear as a screen saver on Voda and o2 mobiles and all packaging will bear the tasty mobile brand. What we’re creating here is a very young, fresh and dynamic brand in the mobile world. Initially we’ll target the SME customer base and from Jan 2007 will have an in-bound team on hand with national media advertising and a product mix similar to that of Dial-a-phone, who have created a very valuable brand and business in the UK. We expect to connect contracts running into the hundreds of thousands within the 1st 18 months of tasty mobile launching”

Tasty Mobile will sell through call centres of 118 group holdings plc in Chelmsford, Harlow and Asia. Tasty Mobile will create a young, fresh and dynamic brand connecting for all 6 UK networks, with an initial focus on the SME sector, where other 118 Group businesses are currently strong. A new dedicated call centre opens in October 2006 capable of housing upto 350 people in the business. Tasty Mobile will also launch a web site offering at www.tastymobiles.com from early 2007.
118 Group Holdings plc has recently completed a successful round of pre IPO fund raising ahead of a planned AIM float in 2007 / 2008. The main board now consists of Richard Allan, Hugh Craen, Bradley Chapman, Jaynie Vincent and Daniel Corby. Daniel Corby was Sales Director at mobile retailer phones4u until early 2004.
