Nokia Brings Forward N900 Contract Release Date
Nokia N900 now available on contract, pre-empting previously touted January roll-out. Great news for UK gadget freaks!
[UKPRwire, Thu Dec 24 2009] Nokia’s new flagship mobile device the N900 is now available on contract, pre-empting the previously touted January nationwide roll-out date.
No waiting lists - all orders for Nokia N900 Deals are said to be shipping immediately.
This is great news for gadget freaks the UK-over who had been frustrated by reports made earlier in December that they would have to wait until 2010 to get their hands on the Swedish manufacturer’s latest smart phone.
Going into the new decade, critics are hailing the N900 as the must have mobile device not least because of its Linux-based operating system which offers a near perfect translation of the desktop browsing experience, to mobile.
Two key features which enable that the N900 to stand head and shoulders above the competition when it comes to mobile internet experience: The N900’s Maemo browser was developed in tandem with Mozilla (producers of Firefox - the world’s most popular browser application) meaning that switching from page to page is nicely optimized. Full Flash support then enables you to experience the richest media available on the web and the N900 makes light work of video and hi-res images.
The release of the N900 represents Nokia’s concerted attempt to reclaim market share of the mobile market, much of which was lost due to the growing popularity of Apple’s iPhone and Research In Motion’s successful Blackberry range.
Currently Nokia N900 deals are available on T-Mobile and Vodafone networks, with more to be announced in Q1 + Q2 of 2010.
