XLN Telecom founder wins Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Technology and Communication
[UKPRwire, Thu Jul 20 2006] XLN Telecom, a leading provider of fixed lines to small businesses, is pleased to announce that CEO, Christian Nellemann, has won the prestigious Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Technology and Communication 2006.
Christian founded XLN Telecom in 2003. His goal was to “change the game”. XLN Telecom is one of the fastest growing providers of fixed lines and data to small businesses with over 65,000 customers. Sales has grown from £4m in 2004 to £21m for the year ending March 31st 2006, with a year on year growth of 70% expected for the current year.

Christian’s entrepreneurial adventures began in 1988, in San Francisco, where he worked for Scentura Creations Inc. In 1989, he returned to Europe with exclusive rights to distribute the fragrances produced by Scentura. In 1994, an opportunity to enter the office products industry opened up whereby Christian became majority shareholder in a mail order company – and transformed it into the UK’s largest office products dealer group with annual group turnover of over £200m. It was later sold off in 2000.
