Conference Showcase the Connaught Hotel in Bournemouth is holding on Friday 18 April 2008. The release also announces the prize winner from the hotel’s first Conference Showcase held earlier this month (1 February).
[UKPRwire, Mon Feb 18 2008] A recent event proved such a success for Best Western The Connaught Hotel in Bournemouth that they are re-running it. The Connaught will be opening its doors again to local businesses to show off its conference facilities on Friday 18 April 2008.
The Connaught has historically received most of its conference business from out of the area but now the hotel wants to develop links with local companies. The Conference Showcase will see meeting rooms set up for a variety of functions and with a range of layouts so that conference organisers can get a proper idea of the facilities. The hotel can cater for small meetings to large conferences (up to 180 theatre style) and also has a dedicated business suite with its own separate access.
As well as showing off the conference facilities the hotel will again provide guests with a complimentary light buffet lunch from Blake’s, its award winning AA Rosette restaurant.
The Conference Showcase is being organised by Events and Banqueting Co-ordinator Adam Roast. Adam was very pleased with the feedback from the first event, “A lot of the people who came hadn’t been to the hotel for several years and for some it was their first visit. Either way they were impressed with what we have to offer and particularly liked the fact that the staff here are so friendly and helpful.”
The last ‘Conference Showcase’ took place at the beginning of February and attracted over 50 local business people. Those attending were invited to leave their business cards and a prize draw was held. The winner has been announced as Gill Rouse, Groups Manager at Bath Travel Business Travel Management. Gill won a two night stay for two at the Connaught Hotel.
