Explore the Scottish Isles with Elite Sailing

Exciting sailing trip exploring the Scottish Isles with Elite Sailing one of the best sailing schools in the south-east of England.

[UKPRwire, Sat May 20 2006] Set sail for a highland adventure on Saturday the 27th of May with Elite Sailing. This week-long trip gives you the opportunity to enjoy a fantastic sailing adventure and visit the northern and western islands of Scotland in one amazing voyage!

Join the yacht at Scapa Flow in the heart of the fascinating Orkney Islands – rich in archaeology and steeped in Celtic and Norse legend.

Sail out past the spectacular ‘Old Man of Hoy’ and enjoy a breathtaking sail southwest along the remote northern coast, around Cape Wrath to a serene anchorage amid the Scottish west coast wilderness.

Spend a night at anchor amid seals in the lovely Summer Isles. Visit the grandeur of Skye and anchor under the dramatic Cuillins. Sail amongst minke whales near the Isle of Rum.

Enjoy a night of traditional music and fun in Tobermory on Mull. Visit Fingal’s Cave on Staffa, and meditate at Iona – where St Columba brought Christianity from Ireland – and then set course for our final destination in the lovely bay at Dunstaffnage near Oban.

This is a veritable feast of sailing, scenery, culture and wildlife. Why not arrive earlier in Orkney and make more time to see these unique islands, or stay on after your trip to see more of the highlands or visit Glasgow.
