Ranch Rider's 2007 brochure - ranching at your fingertips

New 2007 brochure from Ranch Rider

[UKPRwire, Fri Jan 26 2007] Ranch Rider is not only a ranching specialist but also the traveller’s personal concierge, the company having visited every single property in the brochure to date. However, while personal concierges come at a cost, Ranch Rider’s holidays offer opportunities for the more modest of budgets.

The new 2007 brochure has eight additions and with last summer penciled out for ranch visits by the team, Ranch Rider can now reveal the top three, as judged by the company, for budding authors, adrenalin junkies and those simply wishing to combine a love of horses with luxury.

BUDDING AUTHORS…Working ranches give a birds eye view of real life at home on the range but perhaps none more so than the Lonesome Spur in Montana, this being where the author of the ‘horse whisperer’ Nicholas Evans, formulated his research for the bestseller. Set in the shadows of the Pryor and Beartooth Mountains, the owners are happy to offer an insight into the mind of the author and share their thoughts on real life happenings and characters which appear in the book itself. Guests can listen to stories round the camp fire, compose notes in the comfort of their own western themed accommodation, or take a soothing aromatherapy massage in a real native American Tepee – the ranches own personal horse whisperer! Departures available May to October. A 6-night stay with Ranch Rider costs FROM £1489pp.

ADRENALIN JUNKIES…More of an adrenalin rush than the usual Western Ranch experience the UXU in Wyoming has the edge due to its position; being located approximately 30 miles from the Yellowstone National Park. The rugged surroundings are perfect for more challenging riding – the UXU taking riders of all levels from six years upwards. Additional activities include, pistol shooting, fly-fishing, mountain biking and white water rafting, with the creek that winds through the property making the area excellent for tubing. All day trips to Yellowstone National Park allow guests to travel in the land of the ‘Super Volcano,' a land that has seen three volcanic eruptions in the last 2.2 million years – its eruptions categorised as the largest on earth within that period. Other off ranch adventures include, shopping trips to Cody and the night rodeo, with adult’s only and women’s only weeks being clear winners for grown ups in need of fresh challenges. Departures available June to September inclusive. A 6-night stay with Ranch Rider costs FROM £1769pp.

COMBINING A LOVE OF HORSES WITH LUXURY, the Vista Verde Ranch in Colorado offers bespoke and tailored riding packages with small groups of only 2-6 riders. Horse addicts have the opportunity of joining daily morning and afternoon rides in the secluded Elk River Valley, or they can stay in the saddle all day, stopping off for sumptuous picnics and ending the adventure with a post ride massage. No ordinary guest ranch, the Vista Verde’s experienced wranglers ensure there is no nose to tail riding, common at some dude ranches, and stays are in sumptuous luxury nestled amongst the pine and aspen. Each large log cabin features woodstoves, baths, comfortable porches and private hot tubs, with fresh flowers welcoming guests on their arrival. Described as a more hedonistic style of ranching the Vista Verde also boasts fine wines and mouth-watering cuisine from award winning chefs – hot air ballooning, rock climbing and mountain biking making the most of the ranches surroundings. Departures June to September. A 7-night stay with Ranch Rider costs FROM £2,549pp.

All the above prices include return flight, all accommodation (based on two adults sharing), transfers, gratuities, airport taxes, meals, and all ranch based riding, with flights from the following departure airports, Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Additional departure airports including Aberdeen, Bristol, Cardiff, Leeds/Bradford, Humberside, Teeside, Newcastle and Norwich are available at a £50pp supplement. Please note: flight prices are a guide only and may be subject to further fuel surcharges or increases.
