A series of SL Marketing Safaris have been organised to clearly explain to UK marketers, how SL can benefit any organisation. They have been designed to cater for people with limited experience of SL as well as people who have never ever been into it.


[UKPRwire, Sun Feb 18 2007] Virtual world Second Life (SL) is becoming increasingly popular - boasting more than 3 million registrations and with numerous ‘major’ brands already in situ. Companies within SL, such as PA Consulting, Cisco, Reuters, Microsoft, Dell and Vodafone - are already starting to integrate their virtual initiatives into their real world marketing activities.

However, those new to the 3D next generation metaverse, can find it all rather daunting.

Finding your way around a virtual universe is completely different to normal website navigation and therefore something completely new to understand – and it’s perhaps easy to give up at the first hurdle – meaning you miss out on opportunities.

For marketeers, there is currently nowhere to go to get advice or even an introduction. People are hearing about it and talking about it, but to many, the new environment is like a foreign country, with cultures and ways of doing things that are alien to them.

So – an ideal solution would be for an expert organisation, to guide UK marketeers around SL and quickly induct them into the environment – cue KZero.

The tours are ideal for UK-based marketers (client and agency side) wanting to find out more about the virtual world and the marketing opportunities available within it.

About the Tours

Hosted by Nic Mitham, Founder and Managing Director of digital marketing and Second Life specialists KZero, these ‘interactive tours’, specifically for marketers in the UK, will take people on a marketing journey through the virtual world of Second Life, visiting some of the first companies to set-up there.

The marketing safaris will all begin at the KZero virtual office and last around ninety minutes.
