Informa Telecoms & Media has appointed Targetwire as media partner and official news distribution service for its international IP&TV World Series events programme during 2011. Targetwire will offer both organisers and exhibitors a comprehensive low cost press release distribution service covering every publication and relevant website in the internet and broadband television sectors. As part of the agreement Targetwire will also provide a virtual press office for the programme.

Targetwire has developed an IP&TV events circuit comprising almost 3,000 journalists and media outlets in 20 countries. It has been particularly chosen for its ability to cover all of the event's target geographies and markets worldwide - while also offering a special low price to exhibitors. Targetwire is unique in using email software to deliver releases straight to the inboxes of named journalists coming directly from the organisers or the exhibitors.

"Targetwire was selected following the success of its association with last year's event," says Steve Outridge, Marketing Manager at IP&TV World Series. "We need to get press releases out fast to a complete and appropriate list of international publications and Targetwire gives us precisely the service we need. We are happy to recommend the service to any of our major clients."

Commenting on the appointment, Targetwire CEO Judith Ingleton-Beer said: "The IP&TV World Forum is the leading event on Hybrid, IP and Connected TV. It takes place at London Olympia, 22-24 March and will feature a comprehensive programme of more than 200 expert keynote speakers, including over 140 service providers from telcos, cablecos, broadcasters and content providers. The IP&TV World Series portfolio includes 15 events around the world, encompassing webinars, forums and summits. It has a tremendous global reach and relevance - and its exhibitors need access to a similarly global news distribution service".

More than 6,000 attendees and over 150 exhibitors are expected to attend the three day show to discuss the progression of connected TV and the increased adoption and application of IP. To learn more about Targetwire, visit
