Ashcourt Rowan - the wealth management firm of Syndicate Asset Management Plc - has today been announced as a sponsor of the 2010 Solicitors for the Elderly Conference, which takes place in London on 11 June.

The conference will bring together a range of distinguished practitioners in the field of later life legal and financial planning, to debate some of the UK’s most pressing social issues around the theme: "Making decisions in later years".

Ashcourt Rowan’s Business Development Director Chris Williams commented:
"With less than half the UK’s adult population having no pension provision, issues of planning for later life are becoming increasingly dominant for Britain’s ageing population. We are delighted to be supporting this event."

Ashcourt Rowan currently has £2.38 billion worth of funds under management through its network of 17 offices across the UK, providing financial planning and discretionary fund management services to its clients and whose team also includes members of the Society of Later Life Advisers.

Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) is an independent, national organisation of lawyers, such as solicitors, barristers, and legal executives who are committed to providing the highest quality of legal advice for older and vulnerable people, their families and carers.

Ashcourt Rowan is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Syndicate Asset Management Plc, the fund management group of specialist investment management businesses across the UK. The group has approximately £5.8 billion of funds under management.
