Fermanagh firm McElwaine Security has recently completed a fully integrated €80k bespoke CCTV security system and monitoring service for "Top Oil" in their 6 sites in Monaghan, Kilkenny, Cavan, Tipperary, Waterford and Kildare.

McElwaine security will provide a service that monitor’s access to "Top Oil’s" storage and petrol stations, controlling approved access and report on any unauthorized access or suspicious activity outside of hours.

Brian Smith from McElwaine Security, "This contract provides TOP Oil with complete off-site security assistance and monitoring. Our Control Room staff monitor, who accesses the site and where access has occurred without appropriate authorisation, a verbal warning can be issued to eliminate those entrants who may simply have forgotten to enter their access codes in the Oil storage sites"

The Company has seen an increasing need for this type of off-site technical security support. These security contracts can also provide additional security measures for regional and rural ATM owners, with the facility to track ATM Machines remotely if they are removed as part of these ongoing series of raids.

John McElwaine, Managing Director of McElwaine Security said "The "Top Oil" contract shows the increasing security demands for Petrol Station’s, Oil Storage Sites, Regional Banks and Rural ATM sites. Since March 2009, 11 ATM machines have been targeted largely in more remote areas taken from petrol stations and banks, we offer clients the ability to monitor their sites off-site and out of hours, recording activity and can liaise directly with the PSNI or the Gardai. We also have the technology in place to actually monitor any movement it the ATM is removed, using sensors and remote tracking technology"

McElwaine Security provides their contracts with monthly reports on the security system, highlighting the nature of recorded incidents, viewing requests and maintains a full logging system for all aspects of media storage and movement, all in line with the agreed Code of Practice. This all acts as a major deterrent to criminal activity and provides increasing peace of mind to clients.
