Middle East Opportunity for Smyth Composites

A recent visit to Dubai by Smyth Composites M.D., Ross Smyth, has resulted in a partnership agreement between the company and Emirates Procurement who supply products to the offshore and onshore oil refinery business.

The initial deal will see Smyth Composites supply their GRP anti-slip range of products, including stair treads and gritted sheet, in to a region where they previously had no presence but recognised the vast potential.

"A marketing study commissioned by E.P. indicated a significant demand for our product range" said Mr Smyth, "and after a highly successful trial installation and assessment, E.P. moved quickly to conclude a deal."

"They were very impressed by our quality and capacity and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership with Emirates Procurement."

Smyth Composites estimate this could increase their turnover in their anti-slip products division by up to 20% and will undoubtedly result in employment opportunities for factory operatives.

Ross added, "After previously securing business in Europe this is our first venture in the UAE and with representation at an Asian Trade Fair later in the year it is a clear sign of our intention to grow the business in the short to medium term."
