– Catch a special night with the Pub Landlord in London

The evening is part of the Barrel of Fun tour which will see the comedian taking to the stage to perform as the popular barman at a series of venues across the UK.

Based on a stereotypical British pub landlord with favouritism for all things British, the show is sure to include the landlord’s views on his dislike for the French and Germans while confessing his love for the rock band Queen.

Audiences will also be able to catch some of the landlord’s legendary catchphrases including "All hail to the ale" and "Pint for the fella, glass of white wine for the lady."

The Pub Landlord is Murray’s most popular character having started out in comedy while at university in Oxford and going on to tour with other comedians such as Frank Skinner and Harry Hill. One of his initial acts featured impressions of sound effects including a car boot but the landlord character first appeared back in 1994 and has been a hit ever since.

Murray has starred in several TV shows as the character and even presented his own radio show as well as winning a British Comedy Award for the chat show Al Murray’s Happy Hour.

Fans of the comedian can catch him live on 10th October 2010 at the HMV Apollo in Hammersmith and with many of the previous shows on the tour already sold out tickets as well as demand for a London hotel closest to the venue is set to rapidly increase.
