– Harrogate the best young international musicians held on 22 to 28 April 2011

Harrogate International Youth Festival will feature a host of talent from around the world that will be descending on Harrogate to entertain audiences at many of Northern England’s most prestigious venues.

The festival will feature a range of performances including classical music recitals from orchestras, jazz and swing band pieces by local schools and choirs singing a number of current and traditional songs. As the show aims to cover all areas of performing arts attendees can also see displays of modern dance alongside famous ballet productions.

All the events will run from 22nd to 28th April 2011 and are due to be played out at several leading concert venues including the Royal Hall, Ripon Cathedral, Sun Pavilion as well as many outdoor recitals across Harrogate and nearby areas.

Last year the festival featured schools that had come from as far away as Kenya and Canada to take part and this year is set to include another international line up of musicians. With the influx of travelling schools this is likely to cause Leeds Airport hotels to become busier than usual as the participants fly in for the event.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at commented: "The youth festival is a well loved event and many schools are due to return to enter and hotels will be getting filled with students. People needing a hotel at the airport in Leeds should check online and book places straight away if travelling over those dates."
