DirectRooms.com reveals that Liverpool is going to be featuring a huge festival dedicated to extreme sports combined with international break dancers and some of the finest bands from the UK.
[UKPRwire, Sun Apr 17 2011] HUB Festival 2011 will be presenting this heady combination of music, dance and sport which is setting up for 21st to 22nd May 2011 within Otterspool Park. Headlining the event will be Welsh acts The Blackout and Funeral For a Friend and there’ll be joined by Young Guns, We are in the Crowd and Mayday Parade who will all play over the weekend.
For extreme sports fans the event also features the tallest vertical ramp in Europe, standing at 13.5 feet and some of the biggest names in BMX riding and skateboarding will be showing off their skills. Skateboarding pros Chris Oliver and Pete King will be carving up the ramp as well as BMX legends Bas Keep and Jerry Galley.
The event also offers the largest international break dancing competition held outdoors in the UK. Bboys will be squaring up against Bgirls from around the world to claim the ‘International Break Dance Crew’ title.
With 8,000 tickets going on sale and many visitors from outside Liverpool expected to attend cheap Liverpool Airport hotels with availability are going to be a rarity as people fly in to attend.
