Norman Lovett Films New DVD at The Funny Side...of Covent Garden
On Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th April, veteran stand-up comedian and former Red Dwarf star Norman Lovett will be performing two exclusive shows at The Funny Side…of Covent Garden.
[UKPRwire, Tue Mar 13 2007] On Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th April, veteran stand-up comedian and former Red Dwarf star Norman Lovett will be performing two exclusive shows at The Funny Side…of Covent Garden. Both shows are to be filmed for Lovett’s much anticipated live stand-up DVD, his first in over 28 years as a comic.
These shows are the latest in a series of ‘Funny Side Specials’ which offer audiences the chance to see some rarely performed full-length shows from big name comedians in the clubs intimate surroundings.
To allow filming to take place on consecutive days, the club (which normally only operates on Wednesdays, Fridays & Sundays) will open additionally on Thursday 12th April.

Norman was well into his thirties before he decided to be a stand-up comedian. He played the original Comedy Store many times and has even supported The Clash. Television and radio followed a few years later and of course the role that he is best known for is “Holly” in Red Dwarf. He considers himself to be a stand-up who can act a bit and has yet to appear in a pantomime.
