Award-winning cyder maker Aspall is launching Aspall 100% Pressed English Apple Juice to meet the increasing consumer demand for genuine English quality products with real provenance. The launch follows a successful trial in approximately 100 supermarkets in the South East earlier this year.

The new apple juice is available from this month nationally in supermarkets such as Waitrose, Tesco, East of England Co-Operative and on-line at Ocado, with further listings in the pipeline. Building on nearly 300 years of juice production experience, the juice has already been shortlisted in the Quality Food & Drink Awards 2010. The handcrafted product has an RRP of £1.89 per 1litre bottle and uses a unique blend of sweet English Cox and sharp English Bramley, creating a fresh, natural nose with a crisp sweet taste and dry notes.

Supported by the strong heritage and provenance of the Aspall brand, the apple juice is available in a 1 litre PET bottle. The highly contemporary label was designed by Shaun Power Associates and features black and white photography of English apples and a modern black, green and gold font stating the name of the product.

Aspall commercial director, Geoff Bradman, says: "We have supplied apple juice to the trade for over 40 years and pioneered apple juice distribution 20 years ago. Quality will always come first and foremost for Aspall, and this is intrinsic to any new product we develop.

"Offering an alternative to the plethora of imported products, our new apple juice is made from 100% pressed English apples to provide the best quality taste possible. Sales of the juice have already exceeded all expectations and our overall business continues to grow."

Notes for editors:
• Aspall produces a range of award-winning cyders, vinegars and apple juice.
• Aspall’s tradition of cyder making has been handed down through eight generations of the Chevallier family since 1728. To this day, the family still signs off every single batch of cyder before it is bottled, to ensure that quality remains first and foremost.
• The company sources the majority of its apples from local Suffolk orchards and works with the region’s apple growers to ensure long-term sustainability.
