Further flooding spells disaster for homeowners says National Homebuyers
The latest wave of floods to hit the UK may lead to a number of people seeking a fast property sale.
[UKPRwire, Thu Jan 24 2008] A number of regions across the country have been hit by rising water levels, many of which are still recovering from the summer floods.
The large amounts of damage to areas which have previously been hit may lead to house prices in the region falling drastically so many people may now be looking to make a fast property sale.
The Environment Agency has issued yet more flood warnings for today (January 17th) and tomorrow (January 18th).
As more heavy rain is predicted, it is not just homeowners who look set to suffer.
"Surface water may affect motorways and major A roads so we advise drivers to move slowly through any standing water and test their brakes once they're through before continuing to drive," read a statement from the Highways Agency.
Fast property sale leaders National Homebuyers say Hips packs will cause further problems for homeowners as they try to sell their home near flood planes.
"The media coverage given to flooding recently, along with potential buyers' ability to identify nearby flood planes will cause property value woes, as buyers use the threat of flooding to reduce their offers on properties" says director Julian King.
"We sympathise with homeowners who are at risk of flooding".
Mr King is a director of National Homebuyers, the UK's leading fast property sale company that guarantees to make a formal cash offer to purchase any UK property, regardless of its condition or its risk of flooding, within days. The company also offers a series of Sell and Rent Back solutions for homeowners who want to release equity in their home but remain living there.
