London teacher, Jason Arday, 24 completed his 15th marathon on Tuesday 3rd August 2010 to take him to the halfway point of his epic challenge to run 30 marathons in 35 days.

Jason is running on behalf of Shelter and the Shooting Star Hospice and is aiming to raise £5,000 for the charities. You can follow his progress here http://www.30in35.wordpress.com

‘I’m feeling pretty good considering the mileage I’ve covered’, Jason said. ‘Reaching the halfway point is a huge milestone for me and it will give me the added motivation to finish what I’ve started’.

Jason is covering the London marathon course and has had to deal with some of the difficulties most marathon runners don’t have to think about.

‘Traffic in the city slows me down and can be quite a hazard. That’s why I’ve decided to start very early in the mornings before the early rush hour begins’, Jason adds.

Messages of support have kept him running included one from the world’s greatest living adventurer Ranulph Fiennes who completed 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 continents in 2003 who said:

‘It takes a special person to achieve what most people would consider impossible and you will be a great inspiration to many’.
