Avnet Embedded seminar gives exclusive insight into the latest and future embedded technologies

Avnet Embedded, an Avnet, Inc. (NYSE:AVT) company, is bringing its’ successful Embedded Solutions Seminar to Italy, and giving Italian Embedded Developers the opportunity to join exclusive live demonstrations and presentations on Windows Embedded Standard 7, the Intel Atom, industrial displays and the latest in embedded and wireless solutions, by specialists from Microsoft, Intel, Toshiba, Avalue, Cinterion, SI14 and BEPS. The seminar will be held at the Microsoft offices in Milan on March 16th and in Rome on March 18th. Admission is free, but to attend the Intel presentation attendees will be required to sign an NDA.

During the morning, Microsoft will provide an insight into the eagerly awaited Windows Embedded Standard 7, with a live demonstration and detailed review of the features and benefits, including information that will help delegates evaluate the potential of the software in their design context. Intel will be presenting an insight into the future of CPU technology – Atom and beyond. Following Toshiba’s recent announcement of the 100,000 hour LED backlit display range, Toshiba will be demonstrating exciting developments in the future of LCD technology and how these can benefit new designs.

In the afternoon, presentations will be given by SI14 on their recent success in integrating various systems to satisfy different requirements; Cinterion will provide an insight into the latest wireless technologies available; Avalue will discuss the latest SBC embedded innovations and BEPS will present Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3. The event is the same format as the Embedded Solutions Seminar that has run to packed houses in the UK’s technology corridor in the Thames Valley for two years in succession.
